Dr. Kamlesh Vyas, M.D.
Dr. Vyas is your Board Certified Internist who joined South St. Louis Medical Associates at its beginning. Born to a family of physicians in India, Dr. Vyas began his journey towards today. He migrated to U.S.A. in 1997, already a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist.
He joined St. Louis University, Dept. of Geriatric Medicine (GRECC) to participate in the Research for better understanding and future cure of Alzheimer’s dementia. He served a General Surgery Internship at The Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Returned to St. Louis in 2002 to serve postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Forest Park Hospital and served as Chief Resident in the last year. He continued on as a Teaching Attending Physician at the Internal Medicine Residency program until he joined Southwest Medical Center a Practicing Physician in 2006.
He continued to also work as Emergency Medicine Physician at Forest Park Hospital ER and Des Peres Hospital ER, until 2008. In 2011, both Drs. Compton and Vyas left Southwest Medical Center, now providing premium, patient centered medical care at South St. Louis Medical Center. Dr. Vyas also served in US Air Force in the Reserve Forces and resigned his commission in 2014 as a Major.
Dr. Vyas has made St. Louis his home since 1997 and continues to provide a complete solutions care to his patients with added insight and expertise through his training in Internal Medicine, OBGYN and General Surgery since 2005. He also practices in a few nursing homes for his patients in Rehab and long term care settings.
When not serving his patients, Dr. Vyas enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, reading novels, and writing poetry.
